eGold Pvt. Ltd. was registered in May 2009 as a private company with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan.
Our headoffice is located in Rawalpindi.
We are a purpose-driven organization that seeks to spearhead a positive change in the society by
introducing products and services that are financially rewarding, and conform fully to the Islamic ideals of
Riba-Free, Gold-backed monetary standard.
For many years, eminent economists in the west have advocated for a
gold backed currency, a cause championed by many
in the political arena also.
Muslims, on the other hand, proudly recognized that the same ideas of stablizing the economy through
commodity backed money has been a basic tenet of our religion all along. Consequently, last two decades saw many initiatives
to revive the Gold Dinar have sprung up all around the world, including
United Arab Emirates,
Malaysia,
Indonesiaand the
United Kingdom.
In Pakistan, although the same ideas have been highlighted in the
media before also,
but still eGold holds the distinct honor of being the first company to practically bring this movement here, and
introduce the Gold Dinars and Silver Dirhams in the local market. On top of that, we are also building
end-to-end services around the Gold Dinar that can serve as Islamic alternatives to traditional
interest-based modes of conducting financial transactions.
